Angelic song. The sounds of birds’ chirping and chatting at the feeder, “Oh joy, seeds in abundance!” They sing this wintry cold morn … “Look at the birds in the sky; they do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into barns, yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you more important than they?” … My husband and I put food out for the birds during the winter months as food sources are scarcer in our suburban neighborhood, not like the countryside fields and fauna. Besides we enjoy their entertainment. While looking to 2018, Matthew’s gospel again reminds us “Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself.” Let me find God’s provisions, and pure joy in His food and warmth, whether small or large. Give me what I need today, my Lord. Tomorrow will take care of itself. Angels surround.
